Taking cues from fast paced mobile market growth, Samsung has been gaining delirious reviews for its Galaxy range of smartphone models for a while. And basking in the same glory, the South Korean tech major has recently introduced Galaxy Note across the country.

About 5.3 inches wide Galaxy Note is being touted as the first ever successful unison of smartphone and tablet PC by Samsung and holds the widest touch display ever found in a smartphone.

Priced at Rs 34,990, the new Samsung Galaxy Note is a 4G LTE compatible device, however, the handsets released in India might not equip this spectrum as the 4G network is not currently successful in India. The phone has an HD Super AMOLED screen as its prime USP.

Christened as Galaxy Note, the combo device also houses an S Pen or a trendy stylus. The SmartPen offers additional features that a normal stylus does not have. The S Pen has the ability to tap and hold to capture an instant screenshot, which can then be opened in an image editor. With the S Pen, users can easily sketch drawings, write task notes, circle elements, sign documents and much more.

The Galaxy Note runs on Google's Android 2.3 operating system, and sports an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a 2 megapixel front camera.

Powered by a 1.4GHz dual core processor, the phone offers 1080p full HD video recording and playback. Weighing 178g, it has an internal memory of 16GB, which can be expanded up to 32 GB using a microSD card.

Other features include a 2500mAh Lithium-ion battery, accelerometer, digital compass, proximity, barometer, light, Bluetooth technology v 3.0. Samsung also announced some new apps developed around the S Pen.
