Just a day before Steve Jobs journey to oblivion, Apple's long
awaited iPhone 4S made its breakthrough appearance among the public.
Apple claims it as an incredible piece of creation, which is equipped
with a glorified user interface and marvelous display. Further, it
equips one of a kind iOS 5 mobile operating platform with over 200 new
features and iCloud, which is a cloud service to sync 4S with Apple's
other devices.
As per the latest stats, iPhone
4S crossed a million pre-orders within 24 hours of its official launch.
Although, iPhone 4S has been overhauled tremendously from the inside and
hardware components also include a dual-core processor and memory
upgrades; there are numerous Apple loyalists who sound complaining.
Following are the points that Apple might have missed out from its
checklist in a rush or on purpose.
No in-built NFC
It
was one of the mandatory features that every tech freak is looking in
any upcoming smartphone, nowadays. With Google Wallet service and
available NFC-powered handsets, Apple would have had a tough time as it
had not integrated this intuitive technology into its iPhone 4S. NFC is
a technology that allows mobile users to use their handsets as a
digital wallet.
Teardrop shape
This
is the one users will find most fascinating. No doubt, the new iPhone
4S looks the same as the iPhone 4 but with some update. Many of the
rumors regarding the updated cases leaked a teardrop shape for new
iPhone, setting the technology world into rumour frenzy. While plenty of
people like the iPhone 4's design, still people were expecting the
Apple gadget to look different from predecessor.
No thunderbolt support
While
the Intel's Thunderbolt technology is making its way to the new line of
Apple’s MacBook Pro laptop computers, it was pretty obvious that the
new iPhone will also pack it. Surprisingly, Apple opt to keep it out. It
is quite possible that Apple will induce this technology into next
iPhone 5.
It is important to know here that the
new Thunderbolt technology is a high-speed PC connection technology
which brings high-speed data transfer and high-definition (HD) display together on to a single cable.
Facebook Integration
Apple
has announced a new notification center, iMessage, and deeper Twitter
integration; it has not said anything on Facebook integration.
No 4G compatibility
Unfortunately and expectedly, the iPhone 4S has no 4G compatibility.
Even
though these features are immensely useful for empowering recent range
of smartphones, the reasons for leaving them behind cannot be supported
with an justified strategy. Let's just end it on the thoughts that the
next generation of iPhone project has already begun in Apple's
laboratories.
