If you are using a shared computer i.e your computer is also used by your children, friends or your other family members you may want to restrict these users to only use specific programs that you had handpicked, If that is your need then this post will show you the way to do so.
To allow users to run only specific programs, you have to do some changes to your local group policy which is easy to do when you follow our steps..
Note: Local group policy is not available for windows7 home edition
Step #1: First press “Start button + R” to open Run window and type “gpedit.msc” and press enter to open your LGP Editor.
Alternative method: Press start button and type “gpedit.msc” in the search box and press enter, It will open your LGP Editor.
Step #2: Now navigate to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > System, Now on the left pan select and double click “Run only specified Windows applications” , It will open a new window.

Step #3: On the new window select the radio button “Enabled” and click “show” under the Options.
Step #4: A new dialogue box will open saying “show Contents” here you can type the allowed apps names which user can use..

If any user tries to access the program other your specified he/she will receive a error message like this..
